The influence has been record numbers of department shop closures in recent years with the number of retailers falling from 8,600 in 2011 to 6,000 these days. The number of americans employed by means of department stores has fallen to fewer than seven-hundred,000 today, down from greater than 1.2 million 9 years returned.
